The book includes comic strip-style doodles and diary entries, making it visually engaging it’s often compared to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but with a focus on middle school girls’ experiences. The book was originally titled Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl before being marketed as Party Time.
