This story is told from the perspective of Odili Samalu a young man in an unnamed African country and Chief Nanga(minister for culture) who is considered by everyone to be the titular “man of the people” loved by the people but conflict evolve when Odili accepts Chief Nanga’s invitation to stay at his home in the country’s capital, Bori, for the holidays, despite his personal beef against politicians he choose to accept the invitation, there his mindset towards Chief Nanga changed which later led to serious uproar, conflict,rage and death.
This book presents a critical perspective on politics, power and greed.
